Payments and Lending

Onboarding took months. Now it does not.

A payment platform rebuilt so new clients could be provisioned without hand-built infrastructure.

Payix app screens: a borrower's account home showing the amount due and a Make Payment button, a saved cards list, and a history of receipts.

The problem

Payix arrived after their previous development partner's quality and responsiveness declined. The deeper issue was architectural: creating a new client environment took months, because each one had to be hand-coded along with its AWS infrastructure.

That put a hard ceiling on revenue. Demand existed, and the platform could not be provisioned fast enough to meet it.

What we built

A multi-tenant payments platform with automated environment provisioning and AWS infrastructure. New client environments can be configured instead of hand-built.

We chose the stack against each requirement and automated deployment across client environments.

What happened

Payix published this on the engagement: "The Payix team is very thankful to Koombea for stepping in and helping us move past our previous development partner. With Koombea now by our side, we're achieving our client on-boarding goals and maximizing revenue opportunities."

  • Client onboarding no longer requires months of hand-built setup
  • Revenue can start sooner after a client signs
  • Architecture no longer caps onboarding capacity
