Jamar is a visionary retail furniture store and they’ve been making families happy for 60 years with quality and comfortable furniture. More than just selling furniture, Jamar has built a financial component of their business model by offering credit and loans.

Even though in-store sales were good, Jamar wanted to adapt to consumer expectations and offer an online store. Jamar is a smart brand and they realized that there were crucial consumer trends that they needed to keep up with in order to stay current and successful.

Before Koombea Stepped In

In order to keep up with customer expectations, Jamar needed to implement an ecommerce option for consumers wanting to buy furniture online.

For a company of this size, it’s not an easy task to undergo digital transformation so they had to find the right partner and that’s how they discovered Koombea.

Before working with Koombea, Jamar had a static website where consumers could only download a PDF catalog.

Jamar was looking for a development partner who could do more than just create an ecommerce store in Shopify. It was crucial for Jamar’s technology to be able to know where a customer is located because the price point of their products changes by region. It needed to be clear to the website users that prices are based on location so they knew what cost to expect.

Koombea really enhanced Jamar’s check out functionality. Users are able to select when and where their product gets delivered before they pay. Jamar’s site also estimates how much time it will take before the product is delivered so that consumers know what to expect.

Now that Jamar has a responsive web shopping experience that meets the expectations of the modern-day-consumer, they plan on further transformations as well. These additions include an enhanced user portal, order history, account status, open orders, claim warranty, and a native mobile app.
