In addition to eBay’s well known auction format, the enterprise has diversified its portfolio over the years to include parallel purchase pathways, including bringing traditional classified listings online.
When Koombea collaborated with eBay, the platform’s Latin American classifieds business was in a rapid growth stage. In fact, it grew so rapidly, the platform’s mobile experience struggled to keep pace.
With Koombea’s help, eBay brought their approach to classified ads to users on a variety of screens and devices, by embracing a thoroughly optimized and tested approach to mobile device user experience design. eBay’s technology stack did not allow for a fully responsive experience, so Koombea had to develop a native mobile approach.
Driven by results
In time, the UX thinking and branding from Koombea’s mobile design was reverse engineered back into the desktop experience as well, further optimizing across screens and experiences.
