## Our logo

The name reflects the origins of our cultural heritage. We chose cumbia, a very popular dance in South America that originated in Colombia.

The icon is another representation of that culture. It is a symbolic rendering of the sombrero vueltiao, a traditional hat and a national symbol of Colombia. Neither the name nor the mark is decoration.

## Lockups and clear space

The primary logo has two uses: a horizontal lockup with the name and symbol on one line, and a vertical version for everything else. Either is correct. Choose on legibility and on the space the logo has to live in.

## The rules that are not preferences

The clear space around every lockup is k, the height of the symbol. Keep that much free on all four sides. It is a minimum, not a target.

Each lockup ships in two versions. Use the dark-ground version on dark backgrounds and the light-ground version on light ones, rather than recoloring either.

- Do not stretch, rotate, or change the proportions of the lockup
- Do not recolor the symbol or the wordmark, and do not add effects to them
- Do not place a lockup on a background that leaves the wordmark unreadable
- Do not rebuild the lockup by setting the name in type next to the symbol

## Koombea AI color scheme

The palette is Cyberpunk-inspired, built on purples, pinks and neon accents. It is chosen to read as advanced technology and digital complexity, which is the category we work in.

## Brand gradients

The brand gradient runs at 36 degrees through Caribbean Green, Neon Green, Vibrant Purple and Aqua. The seven linear gradients below are the working set. Each is stated with its angle and stops, so a value can be copied rather than sampled from a screenshot.

## The typeface

GT Walsheim is the brand typeface. Inspired by the lettering of the Swiss poster designer Otto Baumberger from the 1930s, it is friendly but precise, and it covers all Cyrillic languages. Designed by Noel Leu, released in 2009 and 2017, available in 32 styles.

Use GT Walsheim for the site, for print, and for client deliverables.

- GT Walsheim for brand and marketing typography
- One typographic scale across the system, checked for accessible contrast

## Our Koombea values

- **Passion**: We read the product, not just the ticket. If a specification would ship something that does not work for the user, we say so while changing it is still inexpensive.
- **Innovation**: AI-First is a working method here, not a label. AI supports scoping, design, engineering, QA, and deployment so we can fix a price before the work is built.
- **Respect**: We say when we are the wrong answer. If another engagement model fits better, you hear that before the contract, with the reasoning attached.
- **Discipline**: Every commitment has a mechanism behind it. Scope is fixed in points, capacity is reported weekly, and delays are raised when they happen.
